All In on App Design: Mercatus
One of the most rewarding types of design projects I have worked on recently has been web-based and mobile application interface design. These engagements not only challenge a designer to create interfaces that help users perform a set of tasks aligned with their needs, it also challenges them to translate the company and product’s brand throughout every step of the experience.
One such project was a web-based application design for Mercatus, Inc., a leading solutions provider for the energy finance industry. Their product, Mercatus™ is a comprehensive solution that drives deal velocity and quality while reducing financing costs of energy projects. This enterprise-scale platform also provides tools to help energy investors organize work, manage pipelines and boost organizational productivity.
For the interface design project, I worked closely with the product manager and UX design specialist to understand how the user’s needs translate to the application’s flow and functionality.
Here’s what Jason Adams, Director of Product Development, had to say about the project:
We engaged Jeff to assist us with the complete UI/UX redesign of our enterprise SaaS platform. Jeff (JHDSGN) proved to be an incredible asset and provided amazing output, on time, and far exceeded expectations.
Jeff has an uncanny ability to listen and fully understand the users of a product and create an environment (look, feel, and interaction) that provides both continuity with the product goals and modern design elements.
Working directly with Jeff, I would highly recommend him and his firm JH/DSGN for any creative interactive media project.
